Code Reader
 

Does anyone know of a code reader that will work with pre-OBD2 Toyota's? My light isn't on, but if it does come on I do not want to pay the dealer to read it.

What year ECU are you looking for. Most ('85-'95) can be read with a simple tool:

I am the PROUD owner of a 1993 4Runner with the 3VZE. It has an odd Diagnostics port under the hood right near the battery. It says Diagnostics right on it

I used a paperclip to read mine, should be TE1 and E1 for the 3VZE, under the cap will tell which is which.
