backfeeding lights
 

I have a 1995 pickup that has a wiring issue. when I press the brake pedal it lights up the dash and license plate lights. also there is a buzzer going off when this happens. any help would be appreciated

Some place in the brake light circuit you have a poor ground.

Most likely the tail light and brake light sockets or even the bulbs .

A good cleaning should fix your issue .

Another possible cause is physical damage to the harness causing a short to the tail light circuit .

In that case your brake lights would come on with the tail lights

Thanks for help,the problem turned out to be someone wired the trailer hitch wrong
