1991 toyota dlx pickup with 3.0 running light issue

im in search of a guide or help to fix my running light issue i have brake lights and turn signals but no running lights i can leave the 15 amp fuse in without the relay and turn the switch to where the lights turn on but when relay is reinstalled it blows the 15 amp fuse ive been told short to ground could be the issue but finding out where to begin is the problem any help guides or tips will be apreciated

Try a different muffler I guess?

Can start by testing the relay itself or swap another relay of the same type and see if the fuse still goes (have some extras). Could be shorted contacts inside the relay.

A problem well-DESCRIBED is a problem almost solved.
Running lights as in DAYTIME running lights, or TAILLIGHTS?
You have stock wiring or you have add-ons, mods?
What did you just do before thia problwm occurred?
Checked all you runninf light housings, terminals, wiring for shorts to ground?

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I may have a similar problem with my Toyota truck based RV.
