2nd gen Pickup steering wheel updated

I have a 87 Xtracab that is a blast to drive, but I really don't like the steering wheel, so I did something about it. I got an 91-94 3 spoke from a 4 runner and modified to work on my 87 pickup.

back of 87 steering wheel, notice the 4 dents in the metal, they are for the turn signal cancel. The greasy area is where the horn ring sets and 3 small holes, are for screws to hold in the horn ring. This must be removed for use on the new wheel.

Screw the old horn ring on to the back of the new steering wheel, make sure you center it.

Also important to have the tab go through the opening and NOT TOUCHING AN METAL

Now for the hardest part, and you can see I screwed up a little. You must drill 2 shallow holes into the metal ring of the new wheel. These holes need to match up with the cancel ring from above or use the back of the old steering wheel as a guide. The 2 hole I have at the top and bottom are the important ones,

Now make up a small wire with 2 female ends and hook it up the the horn ring and button on the new steering pad.

Now I need to get this one recovered, as it is very dirty, but for $15.00 and about 1 hour of time, it is a nice improvement.
