Help!! on an OMEGA Excalibur C4SRS Alarm

Hello-
Can anyone please help me with a programming question related to an Excalibur C4SRS Combo Alarm/ Remote Starter that I had installed in my 2000 4Runner back in 2000??? My remote control batteries have gone dead and if I crack open the remote to replace the battery, then I need to reprogram the remote to operate my alarm. I called the company that I bought it from way back in Nov-2000 and they told me they have discontinued the alarm and dont have any documentation on how to reprogram it. Can anyone help me with this? I have the invoice and paid $383 total to have it installed. I really dont want to have to go buy a new alarm just because my remote batteries have gone dead. Please send any responses to my email at mvp33x3@yahoo.com. If you dont want to do that, then please respond to this thread. Thank you!

I have a couple of Viper alarms on my vehicles. I have to change the battery in one of them every 6 months or so. (2way transmitter/receiver)

the Solaris i have changed the battery and did not have to reprogram the remote.

I would call Viper if you have to reprogram. they should have an answer for ya.

Thanks for the response. I made a mistake, it's actually an Omega. The problem is that I can't seem to get a phone number and their website doesn't have my model listed. I had 2 remotes and was unsuccessful at replacing the battery on the first (the remote would not operate once it was opened, even though I see the led light on it light up) so I am afraid to open this one and lose the functionality. Do you know anywhere else that I might find this info? Thanks

on some alarms, the control unit will switch codes, in essence leaving your dead remote "behind" on the code/channel, so you have to press the arm (arm/disarm if its one button) a few times within a given time period for them to resync. i dont know if yours is that way or not but couldnt hurt.
