WORST thing your wife/girlfriend has done to you rig.
Well, the title says it, so heres mine. (#1/#2)
#1) i had taken the mech. fan off for that much needed extra horsepower, if any.( in retrospect horrible idea unless your the only one using your vehicle for anything) So, the 4runner is in the driveway, she goes out and starts it up gets in and decides to have an upward of 2 hour phone conversation with "Sancho" or whoever. Meanwhile my 4runner is in aganizing pain with an extreme fever. A fever so bad that it blew the top off the radiator, as if someone threw a cherry bomb down there. Long story short coolant went all over everything and i thought it was dead for good. Suprisingly head gasket good so far(knock on wood). Needless to say the mech. fan went right back on. But didnt solve the girlfriend problem.
#2) she drove the kid all the way to school (about 7 or 8 miles one way), in two low redline attempting to reach hiway speeds. And did the same thing all the way back home. then decides to call me and tell me she thinks the car is "driving kinda funny". WTF!!!

I used to own a 99 Civic that I let my now wife drive while I drove my K5. She called me one day and told me that she had driven into a driveway at the bank too fast and something fell off, now she is at work and the right rear tire is flat. I drove out to her work and found the muffler hanging down and had worn through the sidewall of my brand new tire. Come to find out she had missed the driveway and the right side went up the curb.

Not A Toyota but a good story
1996 Dodge 3/4 ton 5.9 Cummins Took the truck for Dog food a few miles down the road.
Went on a week long adventure running the truck out of fuel several times costing well over $1000.00 between me and some of her former friends .Not counting the loss and destruction of the truck
Ended up in upsate Ny in a blizzard with no idea where she had left the truck with the Dog still inside .
It just goes to show if you are female driving your boy friend husbands truck you for the most can do no wrong in the eyes of the law it seems all these run ins with the police and not one phone call .
Being the kind hearted person I am I didn`t report it as stolen I now no better.
Went to rescue the Truck and the Dog looking back we should have left her there .
Cut to the chase the Truck was pretty much trashed I am real thankful she didn`t kill anyone that we know of or I would be living under a bridge

^This.
Let her drive the soobie once for about 20 seconds when she stalled it pulling out of a parking spot at price chopper. She doesn't ask to sit in the driver's seat of my vehicles anymore.

haha not my wife or girlfriend, but I let my rock climbing partner drive to our climbing site about a week or two after I got my '86 runner...
She attempted to shift the T-Case after about 20 seconds of driving. She kept trying to put it into 4Hi for about 10 seconds as I'm screaming "WRONG SHIFTER!!" and pushing her hand away from it.
I eventually convinced her it was the wrong shifter...then about 30 seconds later she did it again lol I almost socked her in the mouth.
Her argument was "that's where the shifter is in my Mini Cooper!"
Well this ain't no Mini
I let her keep driving because I was tired, but I kept an eye on her. Luckily nothing else bad happened!

I got you all beat, truck title and insurance is in her name. At least she didn't put it into a ditch while trying to get into a parking lot like she did the BMW. haha. That was fun fixing the subframe on the BMW.

Similar thing happened to me, against my better judgment I tried to let my then girlfriend drive stick in the parking lot in my 86' 4Runner. She shifted to 4 low instead of second it was such a horrible grinding noise (made me sick ) as i was screaming STOP THE TRUCK! NEVER again will I try to teach someone stick on my vehicles.

My wife hit the garage door opener too soon as I was pulling out of the garage. The garage door came down on top of my 4Runner's roof. Then the door caught the rear wind deflector and ripped it off. She felt really bad, and luckily I was able to fix everything without having to buy any new parts.
