wich tires r the best?
I have bald bfg mud terrains. I am ready for new tires what would u choose. pro comp mud, bfg mud, or cooper discoverer stt 33x12.5. My bfgs get driven on street everyday and wheeled everyonce in a while. I have been very happy with them lasted 2 1/2 years just looking for a different tread design. I want something thats gonna last just as long but want a mud tire. just leave your opinion thanks.

stay away from the pro comps....I wore out a set of 31x10.5 in about 8k miles.
I like my BFG MT (35x12.5r15). I have about 11k on them and they're sitting at about 65-70% or so right now. |
thanks jsnby just want i wanted to know

I understand they are pretty quiet and do well in the snow.
These will probably be my next tires. Several people have said they're quieter than MTR's, which I think are pretty darn quiet: http://www.intercotire.com/piclib/590.jpg |
i have the cooper st-c, and like them pretty good, but the few people that i've seen and talked to that have the STT say they get horrible mileage but if you can afford them they are an excellent tire.

Im running the Firestone DES. MTs and love them. Ill get another set when they wear out.

What about the Goodyear MTs?

Pro Comp sucks.
For a dual purpose truck, look at Mickey Thompson MTZs. My next tire will likely be either some TSLs or Pitbull Rockers. |
 aren't ProComp and MT made by the same people? I like the looks of the new ProComp Xtreme MT though

i'd go MT/R. theyre quiet, but get noisier as they wear down. great treadlife, and much better sidewall action than a bfg. but out of the 3 you put, id get the coopers. might also want to look into the toyo's...been hearing nothing but great things about them.
also look into TSL's...a friend has some on his 80, and he DD's it. i was surprised when he told me he's had em on for 3 years...they seemed like theyve only been ridden for a year at most... |

TSL's SUCK on the road. I have a set of 34x9.50, and they cost me 2MPG to run, are loud as hell, rough, and flat spot over night. They hook pretty darn good offroad though. |
you talkin about the swamper radials tc? those are the tsl's i was referring to...

Runnin Toyo Open Country M/T's and I love them.

I got a set of Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers 2 years ago and still have enough tread to last till summer even with a bad alignment. These tires make some noise, not bad, but they're a mud tire, whaddaya expect. They don't get louder or harsher riding like the Kumho's or Generals. I went everywhere my buddy went with his BFG M/T's. And the best part, $500.00 for all four shipped to my door. I'm lifting my truck more for 35's and checked prices, $150.00 a pop.
