I just picked up a 4runner 3.4L V6 with a TRD supercharger. This is the first forced induction vehicle i have owned. Can anyone tell me what a supercharged engine sounds like? Today my brother was driving behind me and said he heard a high pitched sound when i stepped on the gas. He said it was pretty loud. So i went home and had my girlfriend drive my truck and i followed behind her. To me it kinda sounds like a lound sucking sound. LOL. But im not sure. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

 

Thats your standard supercharger whine. I love that sound.

 

It might also be the sound of your gas tank draining, with a reverb from the vacuuming of your wallet.
