I think one of these would be very helpful. Pretty much, if you got tires on your rig, and want to write a review, this is the place to do it. Please rate with stars 1-5 and a short write-up. Include:

1) Your Rig
2) Tire (name, size and load rating) [picture optional]

4) Traction (Wet - include hydroplaning)

1) 1998 4Runner.
2) Nitto TerraGrappler 265/75/16 LR:D
3) 4 Stars. These tires grip very well on dry pavement. Corning the sidewalls hold up strong with out sacrificing performance ability.
4) 4 Stars. These tires also grip awesome in wet weather. I can take turns as fast as I would in the dry when it is wet. I can spin them off the line if I'm turning or going up a hill, but they catch fast. They are very very very resistent towards hydroplaning. All the water evacuation channels helps this.
5) I haven't used them in winter yet.
6) For an All-Terrain they are grippy off-road. They aren't the best in mud because the gum up fast; actually, they blow in mud, but for grip on dirt, rocks, wet grass and through water, they are awesome.
7) 5 Stars. Cheaper than most any other All-Terrain for one of the best performances.
8) 3 Stars. Slight hum on the highway. Very quiet around town.
9) 4 Stars. I've run these almost 8,000 miles. I've lost est. about 2.5/32's. So, wearing good, and even.

put on around 10, 000 miles so far
Love them, will NEVER EVER buy anything but these for as long as i own a 4WD

Great in dry
Excellent in wet except for that rear spin if I give it to much juice, but thats expected.
Excellent in snow, can do 40mph or so in 4wd hi
Some road noise, but very little imho
About 120 a tire
About 20k miles, probably another 20-30k left.
Buy them again-eh I dunno, I like the firestone MT the best imho or thier AT

5) Winter Traction 4/5 one star off becuase its bad in the ice. But it is incredible in the snow when air down to 12psi.

8) Noise dont know cause I'm hearing impaired

10) Any other notes. Highly recommend if you like to play in the deep snow, then the firestone destination M/T is for you. I got rid of the M/T and got bigger tires on my 4Runner, though

2) Cooper ST-C

4) 4-no hydroplaning, a little hard
5) 3-4 great in deep snow, lacking in the packed stuff and ice
6) 3.5- great on gravel no chips, did cut one sidewall though. moab tested
7) 245/75/16 $170ea, so a little on the pricey side
8) 3, got a little loud as worn, not bad by any means
9) 5- easy 60k
10) great all around tire, better than BFG a/t in mud, but pricey

3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8): Best All-Around tire I've ever had. 5 Stars.
Only about 10K miles so far. Wear not even noticeable yet.
Only drawback is that they must be mounted correctly, otherwise they are hard to balance.

1995 4runner V6 auto
33x10.5 BFG Mud Terrains.
They have done awesome in the snow so far.
A little noisy on road but I kinda like the sound of my tires.
Good traction on pavement wet or dry. Got a good price of around $700 shipped.
Over all very pleased. Only about 100 miles on them so the still look brand new.

ha i wouldint even no how to rate my tires they where really cheap and they work fine

Dry traction - 4 I drive hard on these tires and they are holding up quite well and dry grip is very good for an A/T tire.

Wet traction - 4
Snow - 4 For any kind of traction wet or dry the Nittos are very good and resist hydroplaning better then any set of BFGs I've driven on and that was quite a few of them. Very good rearend control on snow and turn in bite on the front is good too. These tires rarely get away from you in the slick stuff.

off road - Still very capable and might just be a tad behind the BFGs in the durability department but still very close and I've got three years of intermediate trails and a bit of rock climbing on mine and no problems at all and they don't even show rock rash and no chunking at all.

$690 out the door at Discount including road hazard certificates which is nice if you tear a tire up off road. Price has gone up a bit and the same package would cost about another $100.

Noise - A bit of a hum at highway speeds but nothing I wouldn't expect out of a A/T tire but it's nothing that a little radio doesn't cover.

I've got 36k on this set and should see about another 15k before my next set of Nittos goes on and now they have a 50k mileage warranty.

In short for the $$$ and if you really off road more than a few times a year the Nittos are hard to beat for the price and performance and recommend them for people that have to use their off road rig for daily driving duties too.
