Salvaged / Factory Toyota Parts

In the next couple weeks I will start to purchase Toyota trucks from an insurance auction. They have several locations throughout the country. There is quite an assortment of years and body types available every week.

The reason I am doing this is to build a good stock of factory parts that I can have access to at any time. In turn, I will have many used parts available, from whole trucks, to fasteners. I will be selling to you guys at VERY reasonable prices as I am not doing this to make a living, just helping out fellow Yota Tech members and help me complete my trucks. Of course my inventory will be limited at first, but I will build it up as the weeks go by. I signed a lease today on a building in Southeast Orlando which will afford me the space to begin recycling parts. The storage shelfs get installed on Monday and I will begin moving some tools and equipment there next week as well.

If you have a wish list of some parts and are ok with good used stuff, let me know. I will figure out a way to post my inventory whether it be a website or on my page here. Im ok with purchasing certain vehicles you guys may need parts off of as well.

Cool Tony. I don't have anything at the top of my mind right now that I need, but I always need stuff! Grille's, tail light assemblies, interior bits and pieces are mostly what I can imagine needing. Oh things like the SR5 gauge cluster, shifter surround. I'll subscribe to this thread and watch for your updates. I wouldn't mind a road trip to see the warehouse when you get some stuff in it.

Awesome!

I hope everything goes well. It is hard finding good used parts in my area. Most are still on the road!

Whenever one of these trucks comes into one of the local salvage yards, they are usually picked clean quickly.

I do not need any parts.... yet....

Thanks fellas.

The couple salvage yards we have here are filled with folks from far away lands who will absolutely destroy and entire truck to get the one part the need without any concern for anyone elses needs. If your not following the wrecker into the salvage yard you might as well forget about it.

I did something similar back when doing VWs with a friend. That is what got me into the current Toy truck I have. Are you planning on fixing/flipping any? We made some pretty good coin with VWs and Toyotas.

I was thinking along those lines as well. I have a few now that im in the various stages of getting back on the road, and a few original trucks at our family property in North Carolina. I would love to do something like that full time at some point as long as there is still time for fishing, golf, grandkids and racing motorcycles lol

One of my best friends used to do the vw's as well. I never knew how fast those things could be!

We made enough off of flips and parts cars to go off road racing in a Class 11 VW. It could have been a good $$ maker but other things got in the way.

We did buy a car that had run the Baja 500 a few times, took it completely apart and made it better (safer and more reliable/redundant). Our first race, near Las Vegas, we beat the crap out of it and still finished. We ended up 7th, could have been 4th (out of 19) except for a flat.

Good luck on your projects.

I asked a guy how much he wanted for the transmission in an 87 4x4 once and he said "$900", it was then I decided learned that buying whole trucks is the way to go. You know if you see any deals up here I'm down to help out. I scour Craigslist like a hawk anyway.

With my 3.0 deciding to turn itself into a V5, this could not have come at a better time. No compression in #5. It will help me in my debate rather to rebuild or swap out. I too wish you the best and I am sure we will get well known in the future.

Hey Robb, yes is very complete. The seat is original but torn but other than that, its good and runs. Maybe i'll drive it home lol. Theres a decal on the side fender saying 6000 gvw. I guess thats why its a stout
