peeling stickers off tinted windows

Dont really know where this should be posted or whatever but anyway on my 4runner when i bought it has some radio station sticker on the back window which is tinted dark. Im trying to get it off but its hard as hell and i really dont wanna scratch or tear the tint. I guess ill try a blow dryer next but anyone have any ideas? Also gonna be taking off the emblems because i bought black pearl ones. Use a blow dryer too? Thanks.

Chris

tint is on the inside, and sticker's on the outside....right? heat and a razor, or razor and goo-gone should do the trick.

If the adhesive doesn't come all the way off, wipe it with some carb cleaner on a rag, then spray with the hose, and presto, it's gone.

I recommend the razor blade, and heat gun(blowdryer). If it's chilly outside, heat it up first, then spray some windex on there to lube the razor blade, and you'll be fine.

go to target or home depot and buy this stuff called goof off. Just don't get it on your paint!

Ya Carb Cleaner works the best. When I got mine. There was a lot of stickers on the rear window. I left one that says Gamakatsu. The fishing brand.
But all I did was peel the sticker off. Spray it with carb cleaner. And wipe it. And it was gone. I made sure not to get the paint though. Cuz im not sure if it would hurt the paint.

I've used it on paint before, and it didn't hurt anything. Just don't scrub, and make sure you rinse it off, and also make sure you have clear coat(IE, make sure the clear hasn't worn/flaked off), or the paint may come off too. Clear coat is very durable stuff. About the only thing that really kills it is Acetone, and if you leave bird crap on there for too long.

You can also try De-solv-it, Ace hardware sells it. It's like Goo Gone. Works awsome, rinses away with water. It does not hurt paint that is cured too.
