That poll is kind of useless with only 3 choices besides 'other'. about as useless as K&N products. |

At the end of the Summer I will be in Mobile for 2 weeks or so. We will have to catch up then. |

The AMSOIL filter has the best filtration efficiency, but isn't cost effective at a 5K mile interval. The Mobil1 and Pure1 are second best at filtration, but the Mobil1 filter is even more expensive than the AMSOIL (to it's credit, though, it is good for 12,500 miles!). Thus that leaves the Pure1 as the best deal -- almost as good at filtration for about half the cost.
The Toyota filters are hit or miss. If you can get the ones made in Japan great (some Tundra owners go to Lexus dealers to find them), but the ones made by Champion labs are inferior. Champion does make some good filters, but they also make a lot of low quality filters as well... ~ Fred |

Yota OEMs and Purolator PureOnes... I like to switch 'em every once in awhile.
|
I've read filter reviews and the best bang for the buck is the STP. Very, very similar quality to the Bosch and Mobile filter but at a fraction of the cost.
|
I use OEM Toyota filters, their not the japanese ones but I don't really care just as long as it says Toyota, Im doing 5k intervals on Mobil drive clean dino juice and after hitting 15k I feel like I had a increase in gas mileage, think Im gonna eventually switch to 5w30 M1 and do 7500 mile changes.
Im a hard driver, truck see redline often |

I use the purolator pure 1 (p3001, i think, Its the TLC filter) and change oil every 5000 miles.
|
Mobil 1 and oversized Wix filter every 5-6K miles.
|
Holy crap! I can't believe you guys what 5, 6, or 7k miles for an oil change!!! Don't you know that you are supossed to do it every 3k? Most of the time, I don't even wait 3000 miles before I change the oil. Wow.... you guys are crazy... especially if you go off-roading.
