Need help dianosing a problem
 

car stalled going 65 MPH, It jerked and hesitated for a couple seconds, then shut down.

Pulled a number 12 Code: "RPM Signal" what does that mean?

Trouble area: Distributor circuit, Distributor, Igniter Circuit, Igniter, ECM

How can I check these areas? My Haynes just tells me how to remove them, not how to test them.

The vehicle is not getting spark, I tested the Coil and it was within the recomended resistance (BUT JUST BARELY). so that shouldn't be teh problem....

Any HELP IS APPRECIATED?
