Help - Lift Reduction with Hy-Steer
I posted this in the 84-85 forum, but later realized this topic applies to SAS guys/gals as well.
Been out of the game for a bit, but recently picked up an '84 4runner with crossover steering / IFS box set-up and a skyjacker 5" lift on 33's. Long story short, I'm looking to reduce the lift as much as possible. I'd really like to run OME HD springs, but from what I've read they aren't quite tall enough in most cases (I see some people succeed via additional mods such as a flattened and slightly bent pitman arm, but not many). I've also read a 3" lift is the minimum requirement, but, each spring manufacturers idea of "3 inches" is a little different. I'm hoping someone can chime in with some info on how they succeeded with OME springs, or, what 3" lift springs they've successfully run crossover steering with. OR if someone has found some "low" 4" springs they'd like to share, I would greatly appreciate that info as well. I'll take some pictures of the steering set-up and height and update the thread tomorrow. Thanks in advance everyone!
