Hard to find parts-why does no one make them

Back in the 80's and 90's they used to make all kinds of stuff but in those days it was more sun visors bumpers etc. I don't think plastic molding was what it is now unfortunately they make more stuff for ricers and new cars you know fast and furious stuff and blingy crap for Chrysler 300's and stuff. I bet if a 1st gen 4 runner was in the fast and the furious we would have a bunch of options, not sure how cool it would be but mayby? But as wabbit said supply and demand seems like there are a lot of us yota lovers but in the big picture not really.

citrus, Your right...look at how many people belong to this site. And then take out how many don't care what it looks like, And then take out those who realize its not worth their time because its so rusty/beat already. Then remove those who don't have the money to make it look nice. Then remove everyone who doesn't drive an 84-88 4runner. Thats why you can't find your emblem.
For every 1 old toyota that someone puts money and time into to actually make nice. There are probally 3000 1967-72 chev pickups being done...and I don't think thats exaggerated at all. For every $10 4runner badge they sell they will sell 90 $300 hoods. Like wabbit said, supply and demand.
Your right again. There are lots of aftermarket toyota companies. And they mostly focus on the things you can't see. Engine, driveline, armour, suspension...the parts that REALLY matter, and have decent demand.
As for the "custom" grille your trying to buy out of a book...if its mass produced and sold out of a book...its not custom.
