Kind of hard to argue with that. Thats pretty bad. Looks like they got a little too much flex in the frame. Could also be the bed mounting design. Hmm.

Actually there are several cases of the fully boxed frame portion of some '05-06 Tacomas cracking by the motor mounts: ttora Cracked Frame 2005 thread

This has been indicated by the fan hitting the shroud...this particular example is from a truck that has been used extensively, however there are other cases of it...

The new Sequoia has a fully boxed frame (and IRS).
