Flange to flange length of '86-'95 IFS differential
Does anyone know (or have one out to measure) how wide an IFS front differential is from flange to flange? In case anyone is wondering I'm working on building a small articulated 4x4 front end loader like this:
with a buddy of mine and we're looking for suitable axles. Toyota rears would be great but they're too wide and would be too costly to chop. I was looking at a picture of an IFS differential online and I bet it would be perfect. All we would need to is figure out how to adapt the CV flanges to some kind of wheel hubs. No need for brakes on the axles as each axle will be driven by a hydraulic pump and motor-they will provide the braking.
