exhaust question

i just had a 40 series flowmaster installed with 2.5in pipes...its a little louder than i wanted. ive heard that over time the tone/volume changes, is this true or will it always sound really loud?

well you DID get the 40 series ... flowmaster loudest! if you wanted quiter and stay with a flow, then you shoulda gone with a 50 series. i have the 40 DELTA which is i think significantly louder (well deeper in tone, like a baby v8) than the 40 series. i've had this on since spring break and is finally getting broken in. i love the flowmaster 'sound' it produces but i've got a drone at about 2k rpms, but just drive a few mph over or under to get rid of it ... or do what i do- turn the music up, helps to have a woofer lol

you can always run a moroso sprial-flo muffler (cheap and small from summitt) to get the tone down
