converting biodiesel back over to diesel
im looking to buy a car that has a biodeisel conversion done to it and i was wondering if it was possible to convert it back to plane old deisel. please help.

yeah, just put diesel in it, nothing different from running biodiesel from regular diesel, they may have another tank for bio and for regular diesel.
|
are you crazy?
|
What do you mean by the conversion? The only thing needed on older diesel engines to run bio is upgrading the fuel lines to Viton lines. If that is all that was done it won't effect the use of normal diesel. BTW - if it is an older diesel you'd have more to worry about from ULSD diesel now on sale - lots of anecdotal reports or pump failures on older diesels.

do mean a "veggie oil" conversion? that would be a bit more involved to remove.
if the previous owner was running bio-diesel, just go back to regular diesel. |
Even veggie will just run on reular diesel as the conversion just adds heaters to keep it liquid.
But x2 on the "why" ... if I had a diesel I would be trying just about anything to run bio ... |
Like was said before, nothing needs to be changed even if it's an older car. Biodiesel actually runs a little better.
