:bang: I am looking for a heated power mirror for my 01 4 runner. I search ebay and find online stores and there are scores of 03 mirrors and I ask them if they have one for an 01 and they send a link and its for a non heated unit.

Now I'm concerned that if they did list the part that I want they would ship the wrong part. If I bought one for an 03, would it fit?

Is there a post that deals with compatability for future reference so that when I smack a fender I'll know what to look for?

i doubt it, the 03 is different generation the mirrors are different

An 03 mirror will not fit. You will need an 01-02 mirror.

talk to strap22, or go to toyotpartsales.com and order a new one from Toyota. They come prepainted from the factory, so you won't have to pay the extra to have it painted.

Did Toyota ever offer a heated mirror for 3rd gens?

Yes, I believe it was only in the 01-02 4Runners though.
