Burnt starter.. what else can be damaged?
I have been having some issued with my starter, for the last couple of weeks it would "click" a couple of times in the morning before it would start. This morning I started the car and it was making some noise, I just though the fan belts was making these noise. Well in reality the started was stuck and it kept turning over until it finally burnt out..(smoke everywhere)
Do you think that the starter burning out caused other electrical/mechanical damage to the car?

sounded like you were having the classic solinoid contact probem (they wear down and stop making good contact) then it sounds like the solinoid stuck closed keeping the starter on.
next time id pull the battery cable.

might need a new postive cable from the bat, (ie new wireing to the starter/soloind)
other than that i cant think of much that would have gotten damaged unless you had an all out flame fire, but if you had that your truck would be char'd bits by now.
sounds like you just smoked the insulation on some wires/in the starter.
