Hey guys...I am well aware of the standard diff breather mod on our axles but was wondering if anyone has used one of these for the top part of the vent, or would have any commentary on how they would work for the purpose. Thanks.
Check out Trial gear for a "creeper breather" they are far better at keeping water out of your diffs. especially if you locate them where they won't get torn up.

do you have bad experience with the brass fittings above or ?
I haven't used them, but I suspect if you get into deep mud or water you'll have plenty in your axles. they should be ok for a road rig though. I'm more into saving my gears and saving labor than saving $20
You can pull pull breathers from a nissan that had hose barb on them or purchase from dealership. On my "to-do" list, don't have research links handy to give year and model or part number but if I found it anyone can.
Do you mean to replace the stock ones on top of the diffs OR to cap the top end of the breather extension

ya, I should clarify... these will NOT go on the axles but at the end of 1/4” silicone hose to inside the gas door and beneath the hood.
yep thats pretty much exactly what those are for anyway. to protect outgassing without the incursion of other substances. we use ceramic versions of those as work to disperse gas in a chamber more evenly.
i'm planning to do the same thing.
in fact, LROR has replacement diff breather ports that thread directly in to the axle and are a hose barb.

Just go to the junkyard and grab the nipple out of the intake manifold that goes to the brake booster. Same BSP thread as the axle breather, 12mm hex, and a nipple for 3/8" hose. All factory, and probably free if you buy anything else. Never seen a junkyard charge for nuts and bolts.
