Curious if anyone has ever installed rubber flooring like this? I saw a jeep for sale that had this stiff cut like carpet... I think it was this stuff anyway. Been thinking about doing it myself, it's reasonably priced on Amazon.

In order for this thread to show up better on searches, may I suggest revising title to include "Diamond Plate Rubber for floor"?
That's what I'm considering to replace my carpet with, instead of vinyl. I'm sure it is durable and looks cooler/more utilitarian than vinyl. Would also be rear on the rear deck.
The question is is it pliable enough to conform to the contours of the floor, and if not, would heating it, with say... a hair dryer, help?
It would be nice to get a sample to try. Please keep us posted.
Another option is the "coin" pattern used on some Honda Element. About the same thickness.

Can't figure out how to change the thread title. But I actually got samples of the diamond and coin last week. It is pretty good quality. I haven't tried heating it up but that's a good idea, I imagine it would work really well. Let me try that on the little squares I got and report back.

The only thing I wonder about is will this soak up water.

Some of the rubber mats I see in machine shops tend to act like a sponge.

I pulled out all the carpet just because of in the winter it goes from frozen to wet in the summer soaked every time I end up walking around in the slop.

Well, I'm not sure how it could be much worse than the stock vinyl. True carpet breathes better and lets out moisture but this should be as good as the vinyl if it is laid properly without areas for excess moisture to get underneath. Right? I have samples of this stuff and I highly doubt that water would soak into the material.

Re: moisture This is watertight rubber, not like the porous rubber hose similar to the drip irrigation system.

I bought a rubber square online. Cut it to fit my T100. Works great dont trap moisture, protects my floor and is cool looking. Easy to clean. Ill post pics later

I offroad as much as schedule allows and I live in an area that water and salt are a given. So may be a bigger concern for me. My plan is monstaliner. Though may have to wait till spring to apply. I want everything sealed with no possibility for water to get trapped from water sneaking in. If in a dryer climate think i’d feel different. There is no old yotas in this area and most vehicles only last 5-8 yrs. I honestly don’t know how locals keep up with vehicle replacement from a financial stand point.

I did it on my OT car.
Laid out nice and was pliable enough to contours.
My floor is sealed well and have had no moisture problems.

I used some tape to hold it down while i cut it . then used self tappers in the cornor. And used the holes for the seat brackets to double as a holder for the floor

Agree 110% on direct coating where tuck could get flooded. Then I would use porous anti-fatigue mat that are easy to remove to hose down and dry the floor. Mats would add some noise and heat insulation (floor above exhaust plumbing).

Agree again. Where water is brought in from wet/muddy footwear, etc, the water-proof rubber carpet would work well. That's what I plan to do on mine. So easy to clean; on my cargo deck without the carpet, I just use a counter brush. No need to vacuum.

I have it in my 93 T100 ( 17's from a 2016 4 runner, 3.4, 4x4 (with 2wd tranny) 320k miles. Just drove from orem utah to idaho falls last night with it. So far not losing any fluid.
