94 Toyota pickup sitting for 7 yrs
Hey guys not sure how to use this platform all that well yet, but I picked up a 94 pickup r22e from my company, long story short they didn't know in Ct they don't need a title to sell a vechile if it's over 20 yrs old etc. so it's got 52k clean as all can be frame wise but all I have gotten done is drained the gas (sitting for 7 yrs) and put a battery in it, cranks has spark...where should I start. And I'm like most ppl two jobs etc. not much time would really appreciate some advice from folks who have been in my shoes. And it's a fleet pickup, just to give a visual. White super plain Jane.

Oh btw gas looked pretty bad yellow the usual crap. Had more then I thought also, spilled a little haha. I just don't know where to start, I. I can't hear the fuel pump cause of the darn buzzing and should I start with the fuel filter? I'll take any advice and the mileage is a little higher then I previously said but u get the point lol still really low.
Emissions slip is from 08. they stopped driving it in 09 ish time. Guys said they barely drove it, even before they let it sit. Seems legit from what I see, it's just as clean inside and the frame as I said before.

many thanks man, really appreciate it! Awesome link btw. Can't wait to get it on the road. It's an awesome little truck. Really wanna get some use out of it. Maybe a nicer pair of wheels and a better cleaning. Had the power wash it when I get it lol pretty bad! But thanks again!

You may find several small repairs need to be done, just from sitting for so long.
I am actually a fan of those steel wheels. It makes the truck look utilitarian.

You have 54k on that gem, leave the wheels it makes it that much better, if I saw you at a gas station I would need to look at it, old guys will love it, chicks will love you helping them move things (or your lady) , that right there is class, unique and original

ill deff keep working on it to get it going...just couldn't let that truck sit there any longer. I'm gonna try getting that fuel issues done by next week, then 120 hp of fury hitting the road

To the wheels your in double digits I might have 75 with the ac on but I love every minute of it!!!
When you get it sorted give it a good cleaning and take some glamour shots please.

K guys, had a 14 hr day at work and being the genius I am I decided I wanna get some work in on the truck and see where it gets me, did the +b to fp bypass, got nothing. Swapped the efi relay with the head relay got more nothing. Cleaned out the intake (yea there was plenty crap in the filter) still nothing. Obviously put new fluel and battery also. Checked all fuses under the drivers side there all good. I had someone laying under the gas tank to make sure If something made noise and still nothing. Took out the main relay also looked good to me plugged it back in. Should the main relay under the driver side above the fuses make any clicking noises (mine doesn't) just wanna make sure. And yes I bought a new fuel filter...that'll be next, also disconnect fuel lines near the gas tank and both were dry. Also cranked the car with the lines disconnected and nothing dripped out. So clearly a fuel issue. Maybe main relay before doing the pump? Idn let me know fellas...getting no juice to the FP as of 1:14am lol let me know what to do next, thanks!

Great looking little truck you found. I too like the steel wheels. There is a chrome ring and a black center cap that goes on the rims that I think make the wheels look even better.
After a truck has sat for 7 years, one of the first things I do is go thru the fuel system. The fuel breaks down and can really clog things up. In each of my build threads below you will see the fuel system is one of the things I start at first. I have several pictures showing clogged lines and some of the fuel pumps that are bad.
I get my fuel pumps off of ebay for about $30 including shipping. Part store runs about $150 and Toyota about $300. What may look like rust in your tank is a build up of all of the chemical in the fuel. Some of the fuel tanks look really bad. I would not be surprised to see that your Fuel Return Line is clogged. I pull the gas cap and use pressurized air on the Return Line in the engine bay and usually cannot get air back to the tank. I start soaking the fuel line in Marvel Mystery Oil.
Bring a truck out of an abandoned state is a slow process. I see you already have tried cranking the motor. Too late now but I have seen rings rust to the cylinders and the starter can break the ring from it being frozen to the cylinder wall. I always soak the cylinders in MM Oil and then see if I can turn the motor at the crankshaft with a wrench with the plugs out.
Clean out all of the rodents mess and look for damage to wiring they may have done. Change all of the fluids and in some cases flush the fluids systems. Radiators I have professionally cleaned. What is the condition of the Vacuum Lines? Being such a low mileage truck I assume they are routed correctly but check they do not have cracks or leaks.
Then I start checking the sensors. If your AFM is not operating, it may not move the flap that will engage the Circuit Opening Relay located behind the passenger speaker. I have never had a bad COR but have bad AFMs. I would pull the Fuel Pump and test it out of truck. Pump is bad the Fuel Pump jumper test will not work.
