22R header interchangeability
 

I have a header off an 84 22R, does anyone know if it will fit on an 86?

it should fit, is the 86 efi if so you might need a 02 sensor mount added on

The 86 is carbed as well. So the carb'd motors don't need the 02 sensor?

just make sure the exhaust ports are the same

yup it will fit just fine!..i got an '80 20R header on my '86 22R..and it works just fine..had a leak at first but that was simple to fix..lol

only bad thing is..its OLD..so its hard to weld..LMAO:welder:

As far as i can remember, the carbed 22R engines do have an 02 sensor, and there is a small electronic control box behind the passenger kick panel that runs the emissions sensors.
