If you have lost your blinkers because you got a new bumper or like me just think having your blinker down low, only on the front of the vehicle is stupid than this video is for you. I had researched turning my side marker lights into blinkers for a while but, there wasn't a method that didn't look overly complicated or a bit messy. I know Jimmy isn't the one to come up with this method but, his video is the first I have seen that explained it well enough I knew I could tackle it. Really it is super simple.

A note, my 4runner is an 86 and the flasher is actually located behind the kick panel on the drivers side just below the fuses on the fuse block. The EL 12 flasher Jimmy uses doesn't fit in the space on the fuse block so I used some jumper leads. I will post some pictures when I get a chance. Also hoping some LED's 194's I have around will work with this. I will update if they do.

Got the side markers working right. I used the EL12 Jimmy uses in the video. But, in an 86 4runner the flasher is located on the fuse block, behind the driver side kick panel. It won't just plug in so had to run some jumpers. Bonus the EL12 works with LED 194 bulbs without a separate resistor. I also removed the blinkers from the bumper. Found some LED floods that should fit right in there. I'll share when I get them installed.

Make sure the led bulbs you buy support reverse polarity. Some do some don't. If you get one that doesn't you will get markers but no blinkers. Or if you flip the bulb you'll get blinkers but no markers.

I​​​​​​ must have got lucky because the ones I already owned worked perfect. They can def be tricky though. Especially with cheap over seas stuff.
