YotaTech Ten Year Anniversary This May
May 21st to be exact.
Hard to believe we have been here almost a decade.
What started out as experiment has turned into one of the bigger all Toyota forums out there.
I think it would be cool to have members post some photos (please, at least 800x600, preferably 1024/768, or 1200x900) to this thread.
All photos would end up in a slide show format which could be hosted on YouTube.
In the past I have done this, but I do not possess the best video skills, (have new software, but have not tried it out yet) so if someone would like to try their hand at putting together the slide show, they could either host it on YouTube, or you could mail me the DVD it is on, and I could upload it to the YotaTech YouTube account.
If someone else makes it, you would get full credit of course.
I will add some pictures to this thread at a later date.
I think the cutoff date for picture submissions should be around Monday May the 7th, so this would give time to get the slide show together.
Pictures could include camping, working on your rig, out 4wheeling, ect...
Feel free to post at least five of your favorite pictures.
If we need more at the end, more can be added before the cutoff date.
My last attempt at a video of this sort is on the homepage, the 7th year anniversary.

Sounds good...
Sorry, old pics (with the exception of the first one), as I did not get out last summer at all due to a leg/knee injury.
Looking forward to getting out camping this year hopefully Memorial Day weekend for some much needed fresh pictures.

Corey, I can give this a shot.
Any target timeframe you want this by and requirements on how long you want the video?
Any other requirements I should know about as far as photo usage or anything else?
Should I stick to what's posted here or anything else on the forum fair game?
Photos only or video footage good too?
What about format? Youtube only, 720p, 1080p, DVD format etc etc?

Thanks Paul.
Extreme, I think we should only gather pics from this thread, as grabbing other pics in the past has caused a tissy fit with someone from another site
I would make it 1080 so it can go to YouTube and Vimeo.
I prefer Vimeo, and I do have a paid account with them if you make a high quality move and mail me the file on a CD I can upload it to Vimeo too.
Video footage mixed in would be cool too, but how are we going to get footage posted to this thread that you could actually grab to paste into the project?
Target to get the video live should be on the anniversary date, or a few days before even.
Pics posted should not be smaller than 800x600 here, or they will just plain look nasty stretched out full screen.

I have a way to download YouTube videos if need be or people can pm me and I can give them my email to email me original (better option IMO). I'll try the YouTube vids, but if they are in the standard 640x480 format, I don't know how well it will import into a 1080p video.
And I agree 1024 x 768 doesn't blow up very well to 1920 x 1080 but it's doable. 800 x 600 I don't think will look very good. But I have done a video before where I scanned 4 x 3 photo prints and it looked ok on a 17" laptop screen. Just a little touchup in photoshop is needed.

This won't be the style I will use but it gives you an idea about how a 1024 x 768 blows up and is cropped to 1080p.
Sorry for the shamless plug for the bazillionth time of this video: Don't forget to switch to full screen and 1080p.

oh BTW, is there a way we can update the youtube plug in here to allow for youtube HD links instead of the standard one?
