Private Message spam
 

About a month back I was tipped off by a member here that a new member was spamming members here at YotaTech via Private Messages.

I actually watched this new member on the "Who's Online" list spending hours at a time going through the membership list to spam others.

Yesternight I received one of these spam PMs on another forum, and the text was the same as the spam members were getting here.

Apparently these spammers have the text all worked out and a system as to not raise eyebrows by trying to spam with the PM system instead of posting their spam publicly.

Here is the contents of the spam I received on another forum I mentioned above.
Please, if you get spam like this here in your inbox, let the staff here know so we can ban these perps before they spam others here.

I reported this spammer to the staff at the forum where I received it.

I've received the same one Corey on other forums with the name "Stephanie" and "Jennie"

Stephanie was the one I banned a few weeks back that was doing it here.
They seem to be targeting off road/Toyota forums?
Probably tons of forums.

Well, I do not like it.
I get some spam in my email that the filters do not catch, and I get it in my real mailbox.

I do not like getting it in my PM inbox one bit.

I told the spammer the other night that her stay at the forum where I got it would be short one.

PS, this gets better.
patricia751@bestmail.us is the Patty who spammed me the other night, and it is also Stephanie2's email for here where she was spamming.
Sounds like they have a network established for doing this.

She could not pick Stephanie here, as that name was already taken.
