yes, if you dont plan on steering much or going over speed bumps...
really, depends on how your current suspension is setup: sag due to age. go to a store and "borrow" a 33 and stand it up next to your front then rear tires.
see how much clearance you have to begin with...

Welcome to the forum.. your truck and wallet will never be the same agian... lol jk. i would say to run 33s Ball Joint spacers and HD coils are min. there is a TON of info on this topic. search around. goto https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f120/toyota-faq-66255/ to get started. do you have any pics of your truck? you will find we tend to be picture whores and will ask to see a picture of anything you do. lol like i said there is TONS of info and months worth of reading on this site.

You will have some rubbing in the front when you turn. If you want an easy way to fit them just get a 2 inch body lift and they will fit fine. I got 33's to fit on my stock 2nd Gen but i had to do some cutting to the front valnce under the bumber to get them to not rub when i turned. But they still rubbed on the inside on the wheel well. After the 2 inch body lift they fit fine, but dont expect to have a lot of travel before they rub.

KC, as was previously stated there is a ton of info on tire sizes on previous threads. That being said, are you set on 33's? Because I've always thought that you could go to 32's without any mods.

I have 33x10.50 on stock '93 4Runner with NO lift (other than fixing the ass sag) and NO rubbing ANYTIME. The only downside is that there's not many choices in this tire size with 15" rims - BFG AT, BFG MT, SuperSwamper, and Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT. If you were to switch to 16" rims, there are more choices. 285/75-16 is close, more like a 33x11.50 - would probably clear with BJ spacers or a small body lift.
There is a guy on here running 35x10.50's with no lift with only rubbing at full stuff.
4crawler's list of link for tire size seems right on.
Search will provide more info.

I also have 33x10.50 BFG AT's on my stock 95 4Runner. Well, nearly stock. I bought new springs from Performance Products and will be buying Bilsteins in the future just to get a better ride. Don't worry about bodylifting and all that other jazz, you don't NEED it if you're not getting silly with it and really thrashing it offroad. And I really need to take some pictures, I think my setup looks great now...

Being that you're a 2nd gen 4Runner, some 2nd gen 4Runners were equipped with 4.30, 4.56 and 4.88 gearing from the factory based on transmission and their tire size. I believe factory 4.88s came on 31" tire package automatic v6 rigs. Back when i had my 2nd gen, i swapped in two 4.88 factory differentials and installed Aussie lockers in each one of them. Definitely one of the best modifications I ever did.
There's always the option of removing your factory gear ratios and taking them somewhere to have gears/lockers installed, too.
I hope this helps,
Thanks,
