What else should I replace: 22RE head gasket job
Ok, I've got my engined stripped to the block (in the truck). I want to replace all of the necessary hard to reach stuff while I have the intake off. Here's what I plan so far:
Cylinder head check / resurface / rebuild as needed Oil pump Water pump Timing chain kit - tensioner, gears, guides Timing cover Fuel filter Oil / filter Plugs Plug wires Coolant hoses Anything else I should swap out while I have it all apart? Like the starter - it's buried down there but easy to get to with the intake manifold removed. Thanks for your support of newbies! Tom |

Rotor Fuel Injectors sent to witchhunter to be cleaned and flow tested OEM top end gasket kit. All the coolant hoses under the intake. |

Just check the head for cracks
check for straightness If you go doing a valve job unless you just did the bottom end less than 5000 miles ago you will be pulling the engine to do it in a few days to weeks. The old bearings in the bottom end just don`t like the fresh valve job. I was young and stupid and didn`t listen when this was told to me I learned this lesson and it stuck because it cost a little more money out of my pocket.:jessica::jessica: |
