Transmission Replacement
 

I am looking to replace the transmission on my truck. 1990 22re 2wd 5 speed. It currently has a w55 in it (according to I.D. label).

I was wondering will any w56 fit? Similarly, will any transmission meant for a 22re of that year fit?
