Tachometer Bubbles

I currently own a 1996 4Runner Limited which has 333849 miles and had a bear break into my 4Runner, so I thought it was time to upgrade. I found a 2001 4Runner Limited for sale. I met the original owner who is a good guy, very helpful and kept his 4Runner in great condition. The moment I sat in the SUV I noticed about 8 small bubbles localized on the tachometer side of the dash. I don't know if this is anything to worry about, but it is really strange.

I got home that night and started doing some research online and came across a couple people with similar problems but no answer to this mystery. I found a picture from another site which looks almost identical to the one I saw. Here is the link:

Besides this problem, I would like to purchase this vehicle if this is not something I should worry about.

Thanks!

My buddys 2001 4runner has the same bubble on the dash tach. It's just a cosmetic problem. Not sure why it shows on the 2001's

I would not worry about it, if the appearance is not an issue for you.

i wouldnt worry about the bubbles, if u really want u might be able to pull the cluster apart and poke it with a needle and push the air out, but wont know tell u try it.
