#1, locate and replace the missing splash/rock guard under the radiator fan. Will cut down on the "My engine just vomitted under my hood" look.
#2, remove clean treat and plasti kote/dip the battery hold down.
#3, remove the header clips(grill) and see if you can get them back into the header panel(grill). the little nub ends should lock into the square holes. the hood and bumper generally hold this in place but you can zip tie or wire tie it to keep it from rattleing
#4, you lack power steering, should be a relativly easy retro fit if you can find a donor vehicle at the salvage yard (Yeah took me abit to find anything "wrong" in that photo )
#5 Sliding rear window looks like it might be a bit leaky, not much you can do with that apart from replacing what looks like torn moldings. Give it a good silicone lube and it'll slide like new.

Nice clean headliner, Rarr! and a 60/40 seat those are plenty cush' compared to the flat bench.

Could do for good ole cleaning. and maybe a new seatbelt "motor", retracting themby hand helps fight the spring wear. (Going to have to add checking mine for gunk to my list, thanks for the reminder)

Whats the "goodies" on the floor doesn't look like it'll fit, just toss those on my lawn with your mud flaps next time you're on I-70 in eastern CO

I'm a resoration guy if you can't tell by the list. Here is the 4x4 version.

Clean treat and seal the fender rust before it gets out of hand, spend a little bit on bumpers and sliders and start saving fr the 4x4 goodies if you're headed that direction.

PS. Read the rules sticky and edit the title on your first post to comply (Edit post, advanced, and you get access to the title again).

PPS, As cool as a mud covered rig looks keep it clean and all the drain holes clear and it'll keepthe rust at bay. Nice clean looking truck!

Good find on the truck! After you get done with all the preventive maint. and the necessities, what you want out of the truck is really up to you. I'm a new member here and I've learned a lot, mostly before I finally joined.

Welcome to the forum !!

Spend a hour or so reading threads on here every day .

Should give you some understanding learn the basics of Toyota`s before thinking you need to do this or that to keep up with the neighbors.

Make sure the brakes and the drivetrain are all in the best of shape.

flush your brake lines, and flush them good. My experience with this era vehicals (I'm on my fourth) is this needs to be done to keep your brake lines healthy and rust free. Get a quart of Dot 3, fill the MC, open the bleeders one at a time and pump until the clean stuff comes out.
