Size of 22-RE valve cover acorn nuts?
 

One of mine jumped ship and my mechanic just put some hex nut on there as a temporary fix.

My half moons are bleeding badly so I'm going to change the gasket and want a new acorn nut but I don't know this size and I don't want to pay $16 bucks for the set.

Can anyone help?

check out 22REPerformance.com (http://www.22reperformance.com/22RE_..._and_sets.html). They sell some sweet looking acorn nuts for $8.00. They also sell aluminum half moons to replace the original rubber gasket ones. They're a little pricey, but you'll never have to replace them again.

I know this doesn't really answer your question. you might try giving 22re performance a call. they'd probably tell you.
