Should the front wheels be able to spin freely?

Hi all, I'm trying to get my 92 4Runner 3.0 Auto 4x4 road worthy. When I had it actually driving it seems hard to move. I just finished bleeding the brakes, just as side note. I jacked it up and the rear wheels spin freely, however when I jacked the front end up, neither side would spin. I had it in Park, then I tried Neutral and still nothing. Its in 2WD too, not 4WD. Thanks

the same thing happened to my driver side front brake.. i think its time for a fresh set of new calipers and pads!!

and yes they should be able to spin freely for the most part, besides for a little contact between pads and rotor... it shouldn't be how you are describing tho.:eeek:

After inspecting the front brakes (which I of course should have done earlier), the pistons were seized. So just like you said zachw90, its time for a new set of calipers and pads. I did a bit of research and its not worth my time/money to try rebuild them since the pistons looked too rusty. Now I know haha.

I've had the same problem caused by bad rubber hose to the front brakes as well.
