Question about windshield wipers...

Why is the world is there only like two speeds(going off memory) in my 86? Fast and faster.... Has anyone tried to fix this?

haha yea i have no idea the slow speed for light mist of rain or what ever isnt there haha kinda annoying but i dont think you can fix it unless you change out ur selector arm and wireing for the wiper motor ??

Hmmm. My 84 has adjustable time setting, and tht two speeds you mentioned. SR5 all the way.

you might try researching a change to an sr5 switch, it might work. But then again, you might need to replace the motor and the relay.

Just get a steering column out of an SR5

Yeah I was wondering if there was another years you could swap out. It rains 70 inches a year here so its nice to have some options.

Hey scottie, wouldnt he need at least the relay for the intermittent control?

I was surprised to find my truck (91) has the wiring harness in place for the intermitant wipers.
I was told that most regular (Non SR5 Package) trucks have this.

Find out if your truck has this plug already on the wiring harness and I'll make you a deal on the controls that I have.

Im not going to use them.
