Permatex #80697 Copper Gasket Seal
 

I was at the machine shop picking up some things for my 22R-E rebuild and these guys also happen to be a NAPA. So they had a few things on the shelf, engine paint and stuff like that. I was shooting the breeze with the guy and he asked about my head gasket. Told him I was using a factory part. He said they are only coated with adhesive on one side and that I should spray the other side with gasket sealant. He recommended Permatex Copper high temp stuff. I do use the regular stuff on my gaskets (#80065), but wasn't going to do anything special to the HG. Any advice? The block deck is machined and should be fine and the head is a brand new Topline.
