need help please with wiring

Hi newbie here. If anyone can help me figure out the wires I need to hook up to put a 3.4 out of a 96 4runner auto in a 93 pickup that had a 3.0 manual. I'm keeping the 5 speed I have the donor still here. So if someone can help me with the wiring it would be help full. I'm having a hard time getting the right wiring diagrams. Thanks in advance

Start in the engine swaps section for research. How far into the swap are you? There are a few on here that can talk you through it. What was your plan for this part going into the swap? I believe painless wiring has a adapter harness but they are pricy.

Fishguy77. The wiring is the only main thing left. I'm using the auto computer that come with the 96 donor. I'm just trying to figure out what wires I need to hook to my dash wiring to make it work.

Ok that helps some. Autozone has a membership that I think you can do by the week or maybe even the day. What I would do is download all the electrical schematics from both rigs first. Then if you have time left over download all you can on the rig your keeping.

At that point you can start to determine what wires in your rig are needed. Unfortunately it is year specific as to the color wires so I am not much help to you in that regard. All that should be in those diagrams.

Try and keep all your questions in one thread as well. Even if its a different problem that cropped up on the same rig.

Also especially since we are all scattered around the world. If your having problems describing the issue or just to make it easier for us. Always try to post pictures if you have a specific area/issue your working on. If you are having troubles with that the "every newbie shoukd watch this" link in the newbie sticky section. Its a quick vid and goes over a lot of basics to help navigate this site

Have you checked out the engine swaps section on here yet? Its one of the better 3.4 swap pages I have seen. I have though about doing this a few times now and always find good info in that section. If you find a thread there with your exact pairing of very close you might be able to ask the OP or send then a PM if its an older thread.
