Late model 22re upper plenum & TH to 85 22re?

So as the title implies I am looking to see if a upper plenum and throttle body from a 89 22re motor will bolt on to my 85 22re motor. I would like the straight plenum and throttle body to go with my supra AFM header and new head and cam from engnbldr, set of injectors from flame thrower. As well as a NWOR header and 2 1/4 cat back exhaust.

I figure you don't need all that information but too much is better than not enough. Just tryig to maximize the 22re with out going extreme and giving up reliability. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Red face

Are you going with 2 1/4" pipe from the header to the cat??

Changing the air box has some little differences but nothing that can`t be figured out.

Yes 2 1\4 from header to cat back is 2 1\4.

What differences are there with the 82 supra AFM? Is it just making the proper connection? Or is it wiring?

I'm pretty sure that '82 is a plug and play year. As for turning the enter mechanism to run richer. I'm like one click and resealed AFM last night. I've made adjustments over the last couple months and 2-3 was just too rich.

Not really fab work. Compare the TB side of the TPS you'll see difference. Swap the 94 TPS piece over to 85 tps. The clocking on the innards at clocked 90* difference.

Hey Mudd. What are the advantages of the newer throttle cable?

It is the right length from bracket to TB so no need to modify nor adapt. But may depend on config of donor intake set up. My 86 the cable actuated the first assembly that used a rod to actuate butterfly assemble. The 94 directly actuates butterfly assemble. More throttle response with less travel. At first it felt like every bump translated to a little acceleration on throttle. Not so exaggerated since I've gotten used to set up.
