ANOTHER rip off of 974Runners avatar.....hehm.... first decals and now this...
|
Thanks Elton, I just got a '96 4Runner as my first car.
|
cup holder mod is a good start its in the tech section along with other stuff i would like to do it too but mines a weird color so im sol

I don't know if this is considered a "mod" but getting some Husky liners is a really good start to help keep your carpets stain-free.
They also aid in helping you add another mod, the Maglite mod. It's probably in the tech section but I haven't looked for it in years. You get the Maglite mount clips and fasten them to the back of the front Husky liners. Cup holder mod is good too. Fink:devil: |
thanks, i never thought about cup holders
|
I like carbon fiber dash and flame gauges myself, but there is no functional use there. In dash digital thermometer?
|
yea, ive been lookin at that type stuff, just to keep it from being all stock
|
i just did the cupholder mod this summer and i'm soooo happy i did. i'm doing the roof console mod as we speak so i can keep my sunglasses in there and not scratch them all to heck or crush them when i have passengers. i relocated my ECT and rear window switches to the shifter surround, i just like them better there and i plan on using my other knock outs near my steering wheel for lights and other stuff. i'm also in the process of putting a 2nd gen inclinometer in the 1DIN under my stereo, should be done by the weekend if all goes well and it warms up a little. i put my maglite on my passenger side, check my showoff page for that. some day i'd like to get some '99+ sunvisors so i have lighted mirrors and the Homelink, but that's not high on my list of things to do right now.
i'm also going to be putting some gauges in where the lighter/ashtray area is on my 4runner. Volt, Trans Temp, Oil Pressure; that is my winter project that won't be complete for awhile. good luck, and have fun! patrick |
is it very hard to put those gauges in? I'm 15 and I want to do as much myself as I can.
|
It must suck having the Runner sit around and not being able to drive it on your own.
Fink:devil: |
one of fav. Interior mods was installing an External speaker CB speaker, its mounted where the garage door open/sunglasses holder is, now on the way to the trail, i can have all the windows down (at highway speeds) and still hear the CB radio.
but it wouldnt be complete with the CB being installed below the stereo, lol. |
Compressor, front locker, rear locker buttons. And all the hardware that comes with those buttons :P
|
4x4Fink, yea it really sucks, but i have my permit so i get to drive it some atleast, but i can already start working on it and so when im 16 it will already have stuff done to it.
