I have no check engine light. 1990 22R pickup
I don't mean it doesn't come on. I literally have no check engine indicator. Couldn't pass smog because the shop said the check engine light must come on. So I took apart the gauge cluster to find and replace the faulty bulb. Not only did I find all the bulbs working, but there was no engine or 'service soon' indicator. The shop then (inderrectly) accused my self and/or the previous owner of 'tamperring'. Where is the benefit in that? So my question: Is NOT having a check engine dummy light possible?

Possible if the cluster or the Truck from other then a USA Market
I know my Celica`s back to 83 had the CEL light maybe as far back as the seventies Are you sure there is no spot for the bulb ? |
