Hello any help would be appreciated so I have an 85 with a 22RE it wasn't starting so I changed the starter with a new one and lo and behold it started. Then the second time it started again except this time it was accelerated all the way to 3000 RPM the accelerator wasn't stuck I popped open the hood and it wasnt accelerated. I turned it off I turned it back on again and same thing was revving high so i turned off again then tried to turn it on once more and now it won't even turn on or turnover or anything the lights inside do come on but nothing from under the hood when i turn the the key jst the sound of the fuel pump from behind. I'm new to the Forum and any help would be appreciated or you guys could point me in the right direction haven't been able to find the answer to this problem anyway thanks for your help.

"the lights inside do come on" lights as in backlight of the dash? Engine check light? Charge fault light? Head lights on?
"Not accelerated", you mean the throttle cable is in at rest position as in accelerator cable not pulling on it?

Yes the interior lights and the headlights come on also the dash lights up. The throttle cable is not pulled back it's in the rest position.

The second time I turned it on I also checked if the throttle was stuck open or something but it wasn't it was in the closed position. Then I turned it on and it was still revving up to like 3,000. I drove it around for a second parked it and then after that wouldn't turn on anymore.
