Help me understand my new 2002 Limited, 4wd/2wd/AWD options and when to use them
Hello,
Proud new owner of a 2002 4Runner Limited, has 178k on the clock but 1 owner and very well taken care of. My question after searching and reading, is.
What all the different transfer case/buttons/modes are for?
When to use them?
How to use them together?
I have the Multi Mode button on the left of the steering wheel.
I have the small stick with a 4WD button on the side and L4-N-H.
From my understanding....the 2002 Limited 4Runner is always in "AWD". Which is when the stick is in "N" and the Multi Mode button is NOT PRESSED.
When I press the Multi Mode button with the stick still on "N", what does that now mean?
And what does the 4WD button on the side of the stick mean/do?
Thank you I know the info is out there but I am new to this and need it explained.
