Which gears
ok, I have researched, pondered, sat idley by as i watched my gas mileage go by by, tired of it..... cant get any straight answers or make my mind up... so I ask:
I am a gentle wheeler,,, more so just like to go on a rainy day and find a bit of mud, I want my driveability back and gas mileage back. 2000 Taco 4x4, 3.4l v6 Supercharged 6" lift, 35" kumho muds was looking at 4.56's but slightly contemplating 4.88's what would be the best for more daily driving, with the once or twice a month off road??? |
4.88's

see, i was thinking 4.88's, but i am afraid that will be too agressive for the street... i dont really off road that often, like i said maybe 1-2 times a month, my main goal is getting my mileage back and my speedo correct and not put as much strain on the motor/tranny to get to speeds.
4.88's though you say...... whats the best place to get them? I am working on a tight budget. |

http://completeoffroad.com/cart.html this would be all i need right? i wouldnt even waste your time though ordering the stuff online id just call and order. It would just be easier to explain what truck ya got and yady yady yaa..... |
if 4.88s are end up being too small, get some 37s. Haha.
if you give a mouse a cookie..... |
lol, i am actually thinking of downsizzing my tires if i dont sell the truck and do the gears. I am running 35" kumho muds, i have the tough country 5" lift with fabtech coils for an extra little bit and a 1" daystar body. I am thinking about taking the body lift off and just running the 5" lift. then of course i would need to go back down in tire size a bit..... so would 4.88's bee too much for 33"'s
