Flush a/c?
 

Replacing compressor and rec/drier. Compressor works, but leaks. Since the compressor did not sieze or 'blow up', is it necessary to flush complete system? From my research, the flush is to remove debri/metal that the siezed compressor may have put into the system. Thank you.

Did you leave any of the lines disconnected for dirt or anything to get in there? If its all together just leaky compressor you wont need to flush it.

Replaced the suction hose because I was told that it was leaking. Got tested again and was told it was compressor. Other than when the hose was replaced, it has not been opened. It will be open when I replace compressor and rec/drier.

Anytime the system is open you should replace the receiver drier because it collects moisture. After you do the repairs and close the system you should get the system evacuated to remove moisture and air, it'll be nice and cold just like when your truck was brand new.

your prolly not gonna have it open that long. just get a can 0f 134a with the freon , oil, and moisture remover. I have done tons of thm this way and never had a problem. even converting 12 to 134. if you are sure you dont have shavings in it go for it. you can get a can of dye and a light to check for leaks also. worst case you try it and end up having to get someone to pull a vac on it. atleast you have done all the work. A/C places are like brake places they are a rip off...good luck
