engine code

Hey! I am new to the forum so this question may have already been answered. But I own a 93 4runner 2wd v6 and I have put everything from spark plugs to a knock sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump and MAF sensor and it still does not seem to have the power that it use to have so I tried the jumper wire to try and get some codes but when I turn the ignition on the O/D light and the engine light is flashing continuously so I'm not sure as to what this means. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

That's how it works. It's giving you the codes, you have to count the flashes.

Thanks for the reply, I know that you have to count the flashes but its not pausing in between flashes as if its giving a code but both lights are flashing continuously without stopping so I don't know what that means unless the ECU is bad and its not reading..

Is the light flashing at a rate of one class per second or is it flashing faster?
1 flash per second means its giving you a code. Faster means its saying its ok.

Also make sure you battery is good. On rare occasion a low battery can cause false code display.

Its flashing faster so I assume everything's good. But its still not responding like it should but I didn't put new wires on it, only spark plugs so my wires may be old.

When ever I do plugs I do wires cap and rotor as well. Might as well. Also are you running bosh plugs by chance? Our trucks don't like certain bosh parts. Denso and ngk seem to be good choices for plugs. Also only use denso o2 sensors. FYI.

I did use ngk plugs but I will definitely buy a set of wires for it, didn't think about the cap and rotor so I will get that as well. I want to say my injectors are dirty so would you recommend injector cleaner in the gas tank like sea foam or Lucas products or do a physical cleaning to the injectors themselves?
