What does the ect but do on a 94 runner with v6?

Elton Dec 17, 2006 07:58 PM

it changes the shift points so it lets it hold the gear longer before shifting.

Ah yes, the batman button. The manual states that you get better fuel mileage with it off. I personally like it in traffic and on snowy days(for some reason I find it works nicely with awd/4wd) and have not noticed any drastic change in mileage.

my mileage didnt change w/ it on 100%
