Door locks
 

94 runner sr5 has an aftermarket alarm system that includes the automatic locks, My battery is dead to the point where i cant unlock the door with the keyless entry remote, my doors will not simply unlock with the key, when i try it feels like the key will break, is there somthing im missing here, am i about to smash a window to get into my runner?

is there a way i could get the hood poped with out using the lever in the cab?
so i can get some juice to the battery and then hit the keyless entry remote? thanks

COuld it just be a worn key that wont allow me to open the locks from the outside?

I'm assuming that you've tried each of the locks. I have not heard of a way to get the hood to open...

And just as quickly the problem was solved, the lock cylinders must have been seized up from lack of use due to the keyless entry, I just sprayed a bunch of PB blaster in both keyholes, and got the driver side to open with the key.

I had this happen on my car, I sprayed graphite on my key and then worked the lock for a min and it opened right up.

like magic!!
