Did 94-96 toyota come with v6
I am looking at buying a toyota tacoma. I like the 95 Tacoma looks. Dont no what years that body ran but I want to get that body style. I want to get a 2 door shortbed and was wondering if they put a factory v6 in any of them?

Yes they did. Your title says 94-96? Tacoma's started in 96 so those have a 3.4l v6. If you get a pickup then you get a 3.0l v6.

you'll want the 95.5+
thanks are they kinda of rare for the body style i want (2 door..Not extended because all I see is v4's?
i dont think ive ever seen a reg cab with the 3.4L prob to much engine for that small of a truck
They are only available in the early years, and quite rare. One of the COTTORA guys has one.
i used to want a reg cab with the v6, until i became an old geezer. now i think the 4 cylinder is the greatest thing since sliced bread
I thought it was 95.5 but put 96 to be safe. A pre-runner single cab v6 with trd supercharger is fast. :banger:
the reason i want a V6 is i want to lift it and put some big tires..What is the biggest tire I can put on the IFS...is there a way to make the IFS heavier duty..SAS is out of my budget..guess its the wrong section for that but ill probably sound stupid in the offroad one.
Tire size is a function of money - how big do you want to go?
atleast 35's id like to do 37's
Ohhh - that's reasonable.
35's seem to be the cutoff - some people have NO problems, some have tons of problems. Should fit with a bracket lift. 37's you will have to be easy on the throttle, especially with the wheels turned. Will need a bracket lift and either trimming or a body lift. Manual hubs would be recommended. |
V4...Surely you mean I4..?
:dj: |
ok. lets say i really want to go with the 37's. First of all can i put heaver duty IFS parts. I guess i mean is there parts i could put on it to keep it from braking. What about the back rear axle. And also I know my friends 4 cyclinder with 35's will only go about 60. If geared correctly will a v6 have enough power for 37's..sorry im new to the toyota thing..I have a chevy fullsize but its a little diffrent.

The sales and spec documentation definitely do *NOT* list such a combo from 1999 onward. The 1998 factory documentation omits the section (vehicle weights) that cites this combo, so 1998 is a bit of a mystery. |
