Depends on if you want to cut the fenders or not.

Generally, 33x10.50-15

feel free to do some searching. there are a ton of threads on tire size

Elton Oct 19, 2006 09:07 PM

this subject has been beat to death

Spanky Oct 19, 2006 10:03 PM

what would you consider beyond death? cause if there is a definition it would be this topic plus two or three others.

i guess what i am getting at is.... SEARCH!!

i dont care if youre a newbie or not... the search feature still works, it doesnt descriminate!

This is the newb section and I thought we were supposed to keep a lighter tone instead of the five or 10 "use the search" posts which don't give out a welcome feeling to nooooooooooooobs who just registered on the forum. :)

What gen of Runner would be helpful tho'?

Also depends on what year 4Runner you have, might want to fill out your profile or add that information to the post. Guessing by the "85" in your screen name, if you have an 1985 4Runner, even a 31x10.50 will likely rub with the stock suspension. Also depends on what wheels (width and backspacing) you plan to run as well as how willing you are to do fender trimming to fit.

i have a 92 3.0
dont want to do alot of mods to this thing, it is basically my winter beater. i just need larget tires because it snows like a mofo up here in maine. this will be my first winter here stuck on a godforsaken navy base. :drink:

MMA_Alex Oct 20, 2006 04:06 PM

you dont need big tires for snow. Also living near the ocean really limits the ammount of snow you get. Just make sure you have decent tread left on whatever you've got and you'll be fine
